Dr Henry Wong, BDSc (University of Queensland)
Dr Henry Wong is a local dental graduate, having done his studies at the University of Queensland. He has had over 10 years of practical experience, providing a wide range of services in the various fields of dentistry. He has a strong interest in Orthodontics (braces) and has an affinity treating young patients. Henry regularly attends a range of continuing education courses, and is very much up to date with his continuing professional development requirements.
Henry is a long term member of the ADA (Australian Dental Association). He has also been involved with RAWCS (Rotary Australia World Community Service), in a charity project that provides much needed dental treatment to villages in Nepal. He has also provided volunteer work in Brisbane through the National Dental Foundation.
In his spare time Henry usually enjoys going bush walking, photography and dining out. However a new addition to the family means his spending a lot more time at home, enjoying the smiles and laughter of his young daughter.
Dr. Linda Doan, BDSc (La Trobe University)
Dr. Linda Doan grew up in Melbourne but as a lover of blue skies and sunny weather, has recently made the move to settle in Brisbane. Dr. Linda Doan graduated from La Trobe University where she was privileged enough to practise in many regional towns across Victoria, treating patients of varying ages and sociocultural backgrounds. She prides herself in her gentle and patient manner, offering lots of reassurance and care for her nervous, ‘dental-anxious' patients apprehensive about dental treatment. Her personal philosophy is provide a comfortable dental experience to all her patients at the best of her ability. In addition, she particularly enjoys building rapport with children and older patients.
A highlight of her dental career is a two week volunteer trip to Vietnam in 2015, treating disadvantaged children in schools and orphanages. Many valuable experiences and friendships were formed along the way. She hopes to volunteer and work with Indigenous Australian communities in North QLD or Darwin in the near future.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Linda entertains creative writing and graphic designing in her spare time. In terms of personal goals, she is working on her flexibility and loves Pilates and Yoga. She hopes to be able to perform the splits by year’s end. She is also a keen traveller and cannot wait to explore the costal cities & islands of Queensland with the occasional weekend camp/hike trip with her partner.
