Dr Henry Wong, BDSc (University of Queensland)
Dr Henry Wong is a local dental graduate, having done his studies at the University of Queensland. He has had over 10 years of practical experience, providing a wide range of services in the various fields of dentistry. He has a strong interest in Orthodontics (braces) and has an affinity treating young patients. Henry regularly attends a range of continuing education courses, and is very much up to date with his continuing professional development requirements.
Henry is a long term member of the ADA (Australian Dental Association). He has also been involved with RAWCS (Rotary Australia World Community Service), in a charity project that provides much needed dental treatment to villages in Nepal. He has also provided volunteer work in Brisbane through the National Dental Foundation.
In his spare time Henry usually enjoys going bush walking, photography and dining out. However a new addition to the family means his spending a lot more time at home, enjoying the smiles and laughter of his young daughter.
Dr Tamsin Perry, BDSc (Griffith University)
Dr Tamsin Perry is the newest addition to our team. She originates from Ireland but moved to Australia in 2008 to study Dentistry in the great Queensland weather. She studied at Griffith University Gold Coast and graduated with Academic Excellence from the Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Science and then completed her Graduate Diploma of Dentistry.
Clinically, Tamsin enjoy all aspects of general dentistry, but particularly enjoys challenging surgical extractions. On top of this, she attends continuing education opportunities to improve her knowledge in the hope of continuing her study and training to get into the world of dental implants.
One of Tamsin’s favourite things about dentistry however, is helping nervous patients overcome that. Tamsin says, “I want to make my patients feel comfortable and confident to come back again and again, and to achieve the smile they’ve been wishing for, but that fear of the dental chair has been keeping them from.” The Irish love to have a chat so Tamsin is all ears to hear your story and talk about what she can do to help!
Outside of work, Tamsin is passionate about using her skills as a dentist to help people who are less fortunate than we are here in Australia. She regularly participates in overseas mission trips, where she provides free dental treatment. Recently, she has visited Bolivia, Papua New Guinea and Nicaragua, with Peru on the cards for 2018.
